I have a great deal of respect for the work of Moshe Feldenkrais. But despite Heggie's book, there is nothing in the Feldenkrais method which points to heel striking as the best way to land when running. I urge you to read about Dr. Lieberman's work at Harvard on running. The heel does not absorb shock and there is a drastic reduction in impact when a person changes from heel plant to ball of foot plant. Try running barefoot on concrete and see how far you get landing on any part of your heel.
