As a physio foot strike is never the issue in injuries. It’s load over time that is often overlooked. As long as a runner is conditioned to run the amount of load they are placing through their body then foot strike is not an issue.
Foot strike comes into play when wanting / needing to increase running speed and cadence as a rear foot strike will in essence slow you down. For the average daily runner this is not an issue
