Being barefoot is healing me! After Dental Assisting for 7 years I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease of the neck (C6) area. Up to this point I've had epidurals, trigger point injections of the neck and shoulders monthly, recently Botox in my neck, pills... you name it, aside from surgery, I've had it. BUT... Last month I stumbled across some information on grounding yourself and walking barefoot.
Apparently the earth holds a healing negative charge, so, I started doing this and felt better. Then I realized I could walk with virtually no pain to my neck when I was barefoot. So I am now starting to go for barefoot jogs and my neck is totally great with it, even though, I have to lay down multiple times a day to rest it. It's amazing to me!
There is no other way I could exercise with my current level of injury without the combination being barefoot brings me, the antioxidants it provides, and virtually no shock to be observed in my neck.
Running barefoot has improved the quality of my life drastically!!!
